Holy dispatch, Batman.

The year is so terribly off kilter.
We will not be allowed to attend this granddaughter's First Communion, in person.
Our spirits will be joined with hers on that special day.

Today we took a little liberty and she donned her mother's First Communion dress.
It was not the perfect fit. But we pulled it on finally.
The mantilla is an old one from my Mom's house.
Mary came from my Mom's house, too.
I think you've seen her before.
Our Lady of Perpetual Vegetables.
Perfect pose in the backyard.

She looked angelic.

She has her very own new dress for her special day. Her head will be crowned with a ring of flowers.
And we will celebrate her from afar.
God bless this child.
She is smart. She is creative. She is funny.
She is  good. She is  pure.
Her love runs deep.
Her star shines bright.

Shalom.
