This is the way we were. Last weekend.
Cousins on the couch.
My heart is more whole with many bodies round the table.
Waking up with the grands. *Disclaimer: Peyton picks and chooses the photos in which she appears. She was actually squatted down behind the sofa in this one.
Saturday. In the park. You'd think it was the fourth of July.
It was the sixth of June.
Tucker got a lightening stick for his birthday. See Beach Boy handing it to Lauren? It is a thin bat.
Tucker and Merritt by the lake watching the geese.
The afternoon brought on the barber shop. Several heads were shaved.
I found this activity going on quietly in the corner. Unbeknownst to the adults, Tucker had convened story hour.
In the evening we decorated for the baby shower/barbecue.
Sister Paulette was in attendance! That is Uncle Jay in the orange hat.
Cecilia's parents and Mr. Macho enjoy the barbecue.
Sunday goodbye hugs were passed around.
The following are parting shots...
Another Juneteenth is in the record books. It just didn't last long enough.
Today I will go pick up Lauren and Merritt to spend a few days at Camp Nanny.
My plans are to:
1. make brownies - per Merritt's request
2. go to the goat farm to feed the animals
3. swim
4. find a fun craft at Michael's
5. have a movie night/indoor picnic
And. Any other fun thing that we can find.
Adventure!
Namaste.
