Closer to the dream.

It is Monday on Tuesday. Right? Yesterday we celebrated Memorial Day by going furniture shopping. Somewhat successfully. Will keep you in suspense until delivery.
So - today we hit the ground running. The first working day of this week. Painters are here. Brick layer is here. Uncle Jay is here setting the new posts on the front porch. They look great. Electrician has been here and will be back. Lighting will be delivered this morning. And the floor men should be here in an hour. Getting it done.

Sunday we trekked over to celebrate Tucker's 6th birthday! His birth story is good. I won't go into great detail. Suffice it to say that the doctors and nurses at Northport Women's Pavilion are the best. He was born gray and not breathing. No one panicked. He pinked up quickly once they got his breathing jump started. And now he is 6. And a terrific kid. And smart. And talented. And, yes, I am just a little biased.

The big 6.

Tucker the terrific.

T-bone always has plenty of wind.

Friday pics.

Jed, the concrete man, was on the backhoe getting rid of old concrete and excess dirt. There really is no black spot on the wall. Don't know quite how that shadow got in the picture. It may have been a fly on the camera lens.

Pretty fun stuff to watch.

There's plenty to do today. My list includes:
1. Going to Lowe's to purchase something to keep furniture from scratching floors.
2. Looking at rugs
3. Pick out two new light fixtures
4. Help stuff envelopes at church

Whew. Glad I have written it down. That always makes me more accountable.
Make your own list today. You will feel so good to scratch off as you accomplish.
Be sweet.
